Jean B. Spring and summer 2016. Taking it slow, wider view.

This spring and summer, I decided to forgo my digital M's and go back to film. I reached for an old favourite, the Hassy-Fuji XPan with its 45mm lens: perfectly angled on the vertical, wonderfully wide on the horizontal! I exposed a few rolls of Portra 160 on the streets of Montreal, during weekend outings and on a road trip through the American South. Slow but also exciting to shoot, the results are captivating, beautiful and more magical than clinical. Long live film!
