Description

For more than fifty years the Noctilux name has stood for exceptionally fast lenses that push the limits of what is optically possible. The Noctilux-M 75 f/1.25 ASPH. brings this legacy to the portrait-length focal length, with a gossamer-thin depth of field, phenomenal imaging performance and an exceptionally soft bokeh.

Its optical design comprises nine lenses in six groups, including two aspherical elements and several elements of glass with high anomalous partial dispersion and low chromatic dispersion. A floating element guarantees consistently high performance across the whole focusing range, down to a close focus distance of 0.85 metres, exceptionally short for such a fast lens, giving a reproduction ratio of 1:8.8.

With an eleven-blade diaphragm for a harmonious bokeh, and a depth of field even shallower than the Noctilux-M 50 f/0.95 ASPH., the Noctilux-M 75 isolates subjects with extreme precision and ranks among the most exceptional lenses in the M-System.
