Designed to meet the diverse needs of modern content creators, the Rode VideoMic GO II-H is an ultra-lightweight, portable shotgun microphone that makes capturing broadcast-quality sound effortless for podcasting, gaming, livestreaming, video calls, and on-the-go interviews. Featuring both analog 3.5mm TRS and digital USB-C outputs, it works seamlessly with cameras, iOS/Android smartphones and tablets, as well as macOS and Windows computers. The included foam windshield helps minimize wind noise, while the innovative Helix isolation shockmount absorbs bumps and vibrations.

The VideoMic GO II-H incorporates the same Annular Line Tube technology used in Rode’s professional VideoMic NTG and NTG5 microphones. This innovative acoustic design provides a rich, full-bodied sound, instantly improving the audio quality of your camera, smartphone, tablet, or computer (additional cables required). Its supercardioid polar pattern focuses on sounds in front of the mic while minimizing side and rear noise, and it can also capture more distant sources with clarity and presence.
Compact, Lightweight, and Versatile
Weighing just 2.1 oz (60 g), the VideoMic GO II-H is highly portable and ideal for use with compact cameras, mobile rigs, or as a USB desktop microphone. Its simple “plug-and-go” design requires no batteries or complex controls, allowing you to start recording instantly. It runs on plug-in power via the TRS connection or can be bus-powered via USB.
Broad Compatibility and Advanced Control
When used with a camera, it mounts easily via the Helix isolation shockmount and connects with the included TRS cable. Connected to a smartphone, tablet, or computer via USB-C (using Rode SC16, SC17, SC18 for USB-C, or SC15/SC19 for iOS with Lightning), it functions as a full USB microphone with real-time headphone monitoring through its 3.5mm output. With Rode’s apps (Central, Connect, Reporter), users gain access to advanced settings like input gain, high-pass filter, high-frequency boost, -20 dB pad, and firmware updates.
