Camera and the City at the National Gallery of Canada is on for two more weeks. It’s not to be missed.
Beautifully curated and impeccably installed, this exhibition celebrates the addictive art form of street photography. Spanning more than a century, it brings together photographs made in cities across the globe. Images that reveal how urban environments shape human nature, and vice versa.
From pioneers like Eugène Atget and Brassaï to icons like Robert Frank and Lisette Model, the exhibition highlights important international and Canadian voices.
We were especially pleased to see the work of Montréal luminaries including Tom Gibson and Charles Gagnon, alongside still-active photographers such as Geoffrey James, Gabor Szilasi, Serge Clément, Robert Walker, and Clara Gutsche.
A small contingent of the Camtec team took to the road on Sunday to see the exhibition. We came away energized and inspired.
Highly recommended!
