A Natural Extension of the α7R VI
The VG-C6 vertical grip is designed specifically for the α7R VI. It extends the body's capabilities without any compromise on ergonomics or reliability, delivering extended battery life, comfortable vertical handling, and build quality that matches the camera itself.
Ergonomics and Controls
The VG-C6 faithfully replicates the control layout of the camera body, with front and rear dials featuring a locking mechanism for equally natural operation in both vertical and horizontal orientation. Long portrait-format shooting sessions, common in studio or event photography, become as comfortable as standard horizontal handling.
Doubled Battery Life
The grip accommodates two NP-SA100 batteries, allowing the camera to operate for nearly twice as long as with a single battery. The charge level of both batteries is displayed directly on the camera screen for real-time monitoring of remaining autonomy. Power supply and charging via the camera's USB Type-C connector are also supported.
Build and Reliability
The magnesium alloy frame delivers rigidity and durability on par with the α7R VI itself. Dust and moisture resistance is equivalent to that of the camera body, ensuring consistent performance in challenging environments, whether cold, wet, or unpredictable weather conditions.
