Description
The Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200 f/2.8 ASPH. is the classic fast telephoto zoom of the SL-System, ideal for portrait, event, sports and nature photography. Together with the Super-Vario-Elmarit-SL 14-24 and the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70 it completes a constant-f/2.8 trinity covering 14 to 200 mm.
Its optical system comprises twenty elements in fifteen groups, including three elements with aspherical surfaces and seven elements of low-refraction, low-dispersion and anomalous-partial-dispersion glass, for razor-sharp, high-contrast images into the corners at every focal length. Internal focusing keeps the length constant; the lens focuses to 0.65 m at 70 mm and 1 m at 200 mm.
Optical image stabilisation provides up to 3.5 stops, while the all-metal aluminium body with dust and splash protection and AquaDura coatings make it a dependable professional tool. With the Extender L 1.4x or 2.0x the range extends to 280 mm or 400 mm.
