While this SL Zoom lens cannot be described as light and compact by any stretch, the ergonomic design, the OIS and the superior handling makes using it on the SL intuitive and easy.
Everyone who tried or used the SL 24-90 waxed lyrical on the sharpness and perfect correction on every step of the zoom. Focus is whisper-quiet and fast. Optical image stabilization makes for beautifully sharp images every time. Even using lower speeds, hand-held.
The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–90 mm f/2.8–4 ASPH. is fast and offers a large range of focal lengths. A close focusing limit of 0.3 meters at its wide-angle setting and a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:3.8 at the telephoto end of the zoom range provide fascinating opportunities. Its optical image stabilisation (OIS) compensates for up to 3.5 stops of camera shake.
