Produced recently (2021) and bought new about a year ago, this silver anodized finish FLE version of the 35 Summilux-M is in excellent, brand new condition. Only the faintest signs of use can be seen on the lens hood. Used with care on his M11, the lens served its owner beautifully for landscape and urban photography. Mechanically, the aperture ring is clicky and firm and the focus ring is smooth and precise. Don't miss this oportunity to acquire this current production overachiever lens at a significant discount!
Simply stated, this generation of the Leica Summilux-M 35mm/1.4-ASPH has redefined excellence in the 35mm focal length. Expect scintillating performance, whether stopped down or wide open. Even at f1.4 maximum aperture, there is little compromise in image quality. With its floating element design, high-contrast images with extraordinary depth are delivered from 0.7 m to infinity.
Leica has created a lens where caveats do not apply. The ability to deliver top quality throughout its aperture range will clearly change the way many photographers approach their subjects. With beautiful bokeh and tonality, images captured with this Summilux appear to leap off the page.
