Description
One of the most compact and lightweight lenses in the SL-System, the Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. is tailor-made for versatile everyday and travel use, in both photography and film. At nearly half the weight of the APO-Summicron-SL lenses, it keeps the famous Summicron look: remarkable contrast, vivid colours and a distinctive shallow depth of field.
It comprises eleven elements in nine groups; three elements carry aspherical surfaces and three are made of anomalous-partial-dispersion glass to compensate for chromatic aberration, ensuring high image and video quality in a small package. A new linear direct drive provides fast, smooth and especially quiet focusing, down to a close focus of 0.24 m.
Built from a magnesium and aluminium full-metal housing with dust and splash protection and an AquaDura coating, and using the E67 filter size, it turns the SL into a light, agile everyday camera.
