Description
The Summicron-M 50 f/2 is the legendary standard lens of the M-System, prized for its compact size, low weight and well-proven optical design. Its tried-and-tested computation delivers picture quality that extends to the extreme corners even at full aperture, with outstanding contrast at every aperture and virtually invisible distortion.
Comprising six lenses in four groups, it offers an ideal balance of image quality, speed, size and weight, with only a minimal gain in contrast when stopped down to f/2.8 or f/4. Its close focus distance is 0.7 metres, and a permanently built-in, extendable lens hood protects against stray light and reflections.
