A beautiful and rare find! Since 1979, the compact 7-element optical formula has proven the excellence of the Wetzlar company. Modified and refined over the years, this fourth version is, for many, the ultimate achievement of Leica’s craftsmanship. In 1993, a silver version was added to the catalog.
This pre-aspherical Summicron lens is ultra-compact. The additional weight from its silver brass construction adds greater stability and control of the focusing tab. In superb condition, it is mechanically well-adjusted and optically perfect!
Wether on a digital M for on film M, the 35 summicron produces a non-pareil images. Eye pleasing sharpness and uniquely natural character and tonality. So Leica-like!
