The Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 can be used either as a compact 90mm telephoto lens or, when paired with the Leica M Macro Adapter, for macro photography at reproduction ratios of up to 1:2. In both configurations, the lens delivers exceptionally high optical performance.
Without the adapter, the Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 is a highly versatile telephoto lens, ideal for portraits with shallow depth of field, as well as for travel photography where it excels at capturing distant landscape details. For reportage and documentary work, it allows photographers to shoot discreetly from a comfortable distance. The Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 offers a compact and lightweight alternative to other Leica M telephoto lenses. When not in use, the lens can be collapsed, making it especially convenient to store and carry in a camera bag.
