This modern interpretation of the classic Elmar is a true connaisseur lens. It will produce signature and stylized images on all M Cameras
Named Elmar in Homage to the original 50mm collapsible F3.5 lens, This F2.8 is the latest version of the Classic Elmar, with an updated, improved optical design, a 70 cm minimum focusing and the curled focusing ring for a better grip.
The collapsible Elmar 50 Produces a modern sharpness and while maintaining its signature creamy and beautiful image character. Excellent for portraits, pictorials and travel. It is one of my Fav. go-to 50mm lenses.
Light weight and compact, it would make a great companion.
