I would not be fully honest if I did not say that the 135mm focal length was not my go-to lens when it comes to shooting with an M camera. I found the composition and framing to be difficult. The focusing was far from fluid and intuitive. Extra attention needed to be paid for the pictures will be very sharp. But, now, with the precision of Live-View, EVF, magnification and focus peaking on both M and SL2 cameras, and all of the sudden, the 135mm is gaining in popularity and much easier lens to use and appreciate.

Being six-bit coded, this lens was thoroughly tested on the M11 and SL3. The perfect calibration yielded beautiful and very sharp results. Physically, optically and functionally this lens 135 APO is as good as New!

With the longest focal length in the Leica M-System, this Telyt lens is ideal for shooting over long distances. It completes any high-class outfit and permits distinctive landscape shots with typical telephoto effects: the foreground and background are visually compressed. Moreover, it enables frame-filling portraits to be shot from afar, so the subject is undisturbed.

As a telephoto lens of uncompromising quality, the APO-Telyt 135mm f/3.4 offers optimal resolution, contrast and sharpness at all apertures. With the apochromatic colour correction, minimal distortion and little light fall-off even at maximum aperture, the lens delivers top pro-level image performance. It also renders the finest details clearly and in rich contrast.
