Description
Over a century of passion for photography comes together in the APO-Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH. Its combination of the highest detail rendition with the focal length closest to natural human vision delivers especially authentic results, making it an all-purpose reference lens for the SL-System.
Its optical system comprises twelve elements in ten groups; three elements with four aspherical surfaces correct monochromatic aberration, while eight elements of anomalous-partial-dispersion glass ensure apochromatic correction across the entire focusing range, so that even highlights stay almost completely free of colour fringing. Its close focus distance is 0.35 m.
Fast, precise and almost silent Dual Synchro Drive autofocus, robust weather-sealed construction and the shared E67 filter size and handling of the Summicron-SL family make it equally at home in travel, studio, architecture, landscape, portrait and documentary work.
