This present-generation optical gem is in very good condition! Both the aperture and the focus rings are firm and smooth. Front and rear elements are pristine! Showing only some signs of use on the built in lens hood and some light marks on the aperture ring. The 75 mm Summicron APO ASPH represents a prime example of Leica's commitment to producing M lenses which are discernibly superior to older designs. A short-focal-length portrait lens coveted for its close-focusing ability, outstanding contrast  and superb bokeh, contrast and sharpness are maintained even at maximum aperture.

This lens has just been six-bit coded and adjusted by Leica!

Exceptional optical performance is the mantra for the Leica APO-Summicron-M 75mm f/2.0 ASPH. With excellent contrast in all types of lighting conditions,  this lens is ideal for environmental portraiture. The MTF curves show off  the superb contrast reproduction at the widest aperture, exhibiting only minimal improvement when stopping down. Contrary to 90mm lenses with the same speed, you can photograph down to 0.7 m (27 in.) with this lens, corresponding to a reproduction ratio of 1:7.
