Description
Camtec Photo is pleased to offer our customers a three-year protection plan for eligible equipment purchased from us, in partnership with Foto Source. This plan provides additional protection for your equipment, giving you greater peace of mind and allowing you to enjoy your purchase with confidence.
The protection plan is based on the pre-tax value of the camera and its primary lens. An additional service contract must be purchased for each additional lens or electronic flash.
The terms and conditions of the protection plan are outlined below. If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact our team. We will be happy to assist you.
SERVICE CONTRACT COVERS
• Impact damage
• Sand, grit and liquid damage
• Manucaturer’s defects
• Normal and abnormal wear and tear
• Accidental and unintentional abuse
TO OBTAIN SERVICE
When your item requires service, you will need to take it to the Foto Source Member store where the service contract was purchased, or any other Foto Source Member store location. That Member store will determine coverage, whether your item should be repaired or replaced, and advise when your item will be available for pick-up.
LIMITATIONS ON COVERAGE
This service contract will cover one digital or video camera body and one built in or external lens. An additional service contract must be purchased for each additional lens or electronic flash. This service contract does not cover batteries, lens caps, power adapters, memory cards, tapes, software, DVDs, remotes, docking stations, cables, accessories, filters or sensor cleaning.
ITEMS NOT COVERED
• Item damaged beyond recognition
• Item damaged by fire
• Item lost or stolen
• Item where ownership is transferred
• Item where the serial number has been altered or removed
• Photographic flying objects: drones, quadcopters etc. or cameras used with photographic flying objects
LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY
Neither Foto Source Canada Inc. nor any Foto Source Member store will be liable for loss or profits (revenue), inconvenience, replacement rental equipment costs, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss or damage to software and/or digital media. If the item cannot be restored to manufacturer’s specifications, damage is beyond economic repair or if the item has been repaired 3 times for the same repair issue, Foto Source Canada Inc., in its sole discretion, may determine to replace the item with the same or equivalent model, and this service contract will only cover manufacturer’s defects for the balance of the contract.
