The 35mm Summilux ASPH - Optically Perfected and 6 bit Coded.
The second generation 35mm Summilux ASPH was a revolutionary new optical design. Two concave elements on the front and the back assure perfect correction and sharpness. Unlike its predecessor, the Aspherical version which had two Asph elements this version has only one, which prompted some people to complain. So, this super achiever 35mm did not get the respect it deserves.
This particular sample is just about perfect at every F stop and at every distance.
While this 35 Lux does not subscribe to the clinical perfection character of the FLE version, it is an amazing Leica lens that offers that beautifully round Leica look while marinating en eye pleasing sharpness and contrast.
